Privacy Policy

mTally does not collect your data. There is no mTally account, no mTally server, and no analytics. Your projects live on your device and, if you turn on iCloud, in your own private iCloud account.

What we collect

Nothing. mTally has no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no advertising identifier, and no telemetry of any kind. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and we have no way to see your projects, drawings, or measurements.

Where your data is stored

• On your device. Projects, PDF drawings, item types, measurements, markup, and settings are stored locally in the app's sandboxed storage.
• In your iCloud account (optional). If you enable iCloud storage, your projects sync through Apple's iCloud Documents in a private container tied to your Apple Account. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policy. It is not visible to us.

Network access

mTally works offline. The app makes network requests in only two situations:

• iCloud sync, performed by the operating system when you enable it.
• Digital signature validation. When you open a PDF containing a digital signature, mTally may fetch the issuing certificate from the URL published inside that signature in order to verify it. This request goes to the certificate authority named in the document, not to us, and carries no information about you or your project.

Subscriptions and payment

mTally subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether an active subscription exists; it does not give us your name, email, or payment information. See Apple's privacy policy for how they handle purchase data.

Files you open

mTally reads PDFs and images that you explicitly select. The app is sandboxed and can only access files you choose. Those files are never uploaded anywhere by mTally.

Children

mTally is a professional construction tool and is not directed at children. Because we collect no personal information at all, we collect none from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
